Why does the regular app mention B-hyve Pro?
The regular B-hyve app listing also describes the app as the homeowner companion app for Hydro-Rain B-hyve Pro Wi-Fi controllers. So a homeowner whose landscaper installed a B-hyve Pro controller may use the regular B-hyve app to see and control it.
That does not make every professional controller specification apply to Orbit's consumer products. Do not assume a Pro feature exists on an Orbit consumer controller, or the other way around.
Which app do I need?
- You own a consumer B-hyve device (such as 57925, 57946, 57950, XR, XD or Gen 2 timers): use the B-hyve app.
- A contractor manages a B-hyve Pro controller at your property: the contractor uses B-hyve Pro. You can use the B-hyve app as the homeowner.
- You manage irrigation as a business: B-hyve Pro is the app built for that.
Is OrbitAssist the same thing?
No. OrbitAssist is a separate troubleshooting tool for diagnosing connectivity between your home network and B-hyve equipment. It does not control watering.
How do I download the right one?
Install the app named B-hyve from Orbit Irrigation for consumer devices. The app store links are in How to set up the B-hyve app. For Pro-specific questions, use the manual or support material for your exact B-hyve Pro model. Orbit's support portal is the place to start.
