Can You Use the B-hyve App on a PC?
B-hyve app for PC: the research found no official Windows or PC app. Orbit's apps are for iOS and Android. Here is what the sources do and do not say.
The sources used for this site do not establish an official B-hyve app for Windows or any other PC. The official B-hyve app is listed on the Apple App Store and Google Play, so it is built for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
This site is an independent B-hyve resource. For anything that depends on your exact model, rely on Orbit's manual and support.
What are the official ways to get the app?
An Amazon listing for the manufacturer's 21002 kit says the app works on "Android, iOS or web devices". The main research behind this site does not confirm a web version, and no web address for one appears in the sources. Treat that line as unverified. If you need a browser option, check Orbit's support portal for your exact model before relying on it.
Do I need a PC to set up a B-hyve device?
No. Setup runs through the phone app:
- Bluetooth on the phone finds nearby devices, including hose timers.
- The app creates your account, adds your device and sets up zones, programs and smart watering.
Compatible hose timers can be programmed from a nearby phone over Bluetooth without Wi-Fi. Remote access, notifications and WeatherSense need a matching hub, or built-in Wi-Fi on controllers that have it.
Can I program a B-hyve device without a phone?
Some models have an on-device display or controls:
- The B-hyve XR has three full-color displays and four program slots (A, B, C and D).
- The XD hose timers can be programmed directly on the device, as well as over Bluetooth and through the app.
- The 57925 indoor controller has a console as well as the app, according to its manufacturer text.
On-device options differ by model, so check your manual. They cover local control, not the full app.
What if I only have a computer?
The sources do not describe a supported way to manage B-hyve devices from a PC. They do not recommend any third-party route, and this page does not either. The official route is a phone or tablet running iOS or Android, plus the on-device controls on models that have them. For anything beyond that, contact Orbit support.
Smart-home linking is a separate topic. Orbit publishes instructions for linking B-hyve through Google Home, and lists Alexa support on its app and product pages. Those are voice and smart-home integrations. They are not a PC app.
Is the app free?
Official store listings and Orbit product pages describe the consumer app as free.
