Three ways to water
Let B-hyve plan the week, set your own days and start times, or start a zone right now. Local weather can step in and skip a run.

B-hyve builds the schedule from local weather and the zone settings you enter: soil type, sun, plants and slope.
You choose the days and start times. WeatherSense can still skip a run for rain, freezing temperatures or high wind.
Water a zone now, for as long as you choose.
The soil moisture shown in the app is calculated from weather and zone data. It is not a probe reading.
Setup
Four steps from download to your first watering plan.
Get B-hyve from the App Store or Google Play and sign up inside the app.
Turn on Bluetooth and the app finds nearby devices. Controllers then join your Wi-Fi: most use 2.4 GHz, while XR also supports 5 GHz.
Name each zone, add a photo, and set soil, sun, plant type and slope.
Pick smart watering or build your own programs. You can change it anytime.

The rewiring of the zones from the old unit onto the new B-hyve was super simple. … The app also is very nice and intuitive. I love being able to start a zone manually or utilizing a program I have entered via the app. No more walking out to the garage.
I replaced my 20 year lawn timer with the B-Hyve. It was easy to switch out and re-install all 6 color coded zone wires. What I love is the Wi-Fi function. I set all zones and time with my cell phone.
You get notifications when it’s watering. There is a rain delay and manual watering options if you need to stop for a day or add watering when it’s really hot. … Now watering is consistent and plants are happy and healthy!
I love the smart capability of the timer. That it looks at the weather report and adjust for rain schedules without me having to get up during the storm to go down and turn off my sprinklers.
I could go on vacation for two weeks in July and come back to healthy plants. Customer service has helped me several times and were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
I’m no irrigation expert but setup was easily done in less than an hour. Having the ability to control my system from my pocket no matter where I am is great. And it does a good job of tracking potential weather and adjusting scheduled watering.
I can set it and forget it and it will make adjustments dependent upon the weather as needed. I rarely have to touch it. I get notifications when it starts, when it finishes and if the system will skip a day due to weather.
This app is very well laid out, easy to set up, and easy to program. Two general methodologies are available, scheduled or smart watering. You can name each zone, custom label them and add photos, etc.
This app is simply easy to use. … You can replace the preinstalled zone pictures with actual photos of your yard, erasing any doubts which areas you’re watering.
The program variability and smart watering are great. I have this watering my house lawn, separate zones for my trees, flower beds, and lastly my garden. All for different times and frequencies.
The system works well. It’s intuitive. It makes changes on the fly if needed when rain comes. … I look at my phone and I can easily see what happened for the last month two months in minutes.
